Dustin Jacoby joined combat sports in the form of MMA, but has swung his career in the direction of kickboxing. The former UFC fighter said the hardest blow from both sports came in the form of a fist from Chris Camozzi at UFC on FOX 2.
“I think he might’ve taken the first round,” said Jacoby to MMA Mania. “10 seconds into the first round, he caught me with a looping right hook that put me right on my butt. He didn’t knock me out, but my nose doesn’t look so pretty because of that punch.”
Camozzi would finish that fight in the third round via submission. Jacoby was released after the fight and spent 2012 fighting on the local circuit before signing with the World Series of Fighting. The two sides have a contract in place that allows Jacoby to fight for other promotions.
Jacoby returns to kickboxing for GLORY 9 this Saturday, June 22. He takes on Brian Collette as part of a one night tournament.
GLORY 9 comes from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, NY.
