Jacob Volkmann really needed a payday and couldn’t miss World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 3. The former UFC fighter apparently suffered a seizure 24 hours before the fight and opted not to disclose that information to medical personal.
“I didn’t tell anybody, because I didn’t want them to say I couldn’t fight because I just had a seizure,” said Volkmann on Sherdog Radio. “I had bills to pay, so I really didn’t have a choice. Mentally and physically, I felt fine. I didn’t feel cloudy.”
According to Volkmann, his memory is fine and he doesn’t believe a CAT scan is needed.
On the show, Volkmann got the decision against Lyle Beerbohm. It was his first appearance since the UFC released him.
