Tyrone Spong has been busy juggling three combat sports in MMA, Muay Thai and kickboxing. While it’s challenging, Spong knows he needs it at this point in his career.
“I’ve seen it all,” said Spong to MMA Fighting. “I’ve been through it all. It’s something I need to motivate me. It’s to keep me out of the steady mode of the same drills and the same practices. I get to switch. I’m an intelligent fighter. I need something to trigger my brain and to think about and work on.”
Spong has made the biggest impact in kickboxing and is 69-6. He returns at GLORY 9 against Michael Duut. It’s from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, NY on Saturday, June 22.
He will return to MMA for the second time at WSOF 4. Spong takes on Angel DeAnda on August 10.
