Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal Focused On Seth Petruzelli, Then Championship

Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal isn’t concerned about his loss to Emanuel Newton in the Season 8 light heavyweight tournament as he prepares to return within hours.

“I was over it the day it happened because the thing is, I got caught,” said Lawal on The MMA Hour. “I got caught. I’m going to bounce back. Hopefully I get a chance to fight Emanuel again. If not, then I’ll just have the belt and he’ll have to work his way to me. I’m just moving forward.”

To kick start the 2013 Summer Series, Bellator 96 is headlined with Lawal vs. Seth Petruzelli. They are part of a four person tournament.

Lawal looks to bounce back since Newton took a first round spinning backfist win in the semifinals.

Petruzelli is 1-1 for Bellator and was removed from the same tournament against Jacob Noe in the opening bracket.

Bellator 96 is later today, June 19. It airs at 8 p.m. ET on Spike TV from the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, OK. FightLine will have the results.
