Jacob Noe felt great when he partnered up with Bellator. He joined the promotion with seven straight wins as he entered their light heavyweight tournament. Then everything came to a crashing halt with a loss.
Noe said he wasn’t prepared mentally in his semifinal loss to Mikhail Zayats. Tonight, Noe has a chance at redemption when he takes on Renato Sobral in a four person tournament.
“If I keep the pressure on him, I think he’ll wither away,” said Noe to MMA Weekly. “I’m in really good shape right now and have a little bit of altitude training and have been learning from better guys, so he’ll definitely run across the best Jacob Noe.”
Sobral, a former UFC title contender, was considered a favorite to win Season 8 but Zayats ended that from happening. He’s currently 37-10 as he looks for his first Bellator win.
They are on the main card of Bellator 96, which emanates from the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, OK.
