UFC 162: Munoz-Boetsch Moved To Main Card

UFC officials have removed Ricardo Lamas from UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman and set the pay-per-view main card with five bouts.

Lamas was originally set to face Chan Sung Jung, but “The Korean Zombie” was tabbed to replace Anthony Pettis and meet UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo in August. That left Lamas without an opponent.

In place of that fight will be middleweights Mark Munoz and Tim Boetsch. The main event features UFC champion Anderson Silva defending his title against Chris Weidman.

Two Facebook prelims begin July 6’s card at 7 p.m. ET before things shift over to FX. The PPV main card starts at 10 p.m. ET.
