If James Krause’s UFC 161 drug test comes back clean, he’s $100,000 richer. That’s because Krause took Fight of the Night and Submission of the Night against Sam Stout. It required Krause close to the main event to realize the money was almost his.
“It didn’t hit me until the main event that this is quite possible I could have another 50 or 100 thousand dollars coming my way,” said Krause to MMA Mania. “The night kept going and the odds started leaning in my favor. It still hasn’t really hit me that I won those bonuses.”
At UFC 161, Krause won with a guillotine choke in the closing seconds of the fight.
Krause had a bid on The Ultimate Fighter, but was unable to get in the house. He was offered the bout with Stout on a few weeks notice and is now 20-4.
UFC 161 came from the MTS Centre in Canada this past Saturday, June 15.
