Ryan Jimmo vs. Igor Pokrajac

The first of two closing light heavyweight bouts takes to the Octagon with Ryan Jimmo (17-2) seeking to bounce back from a loss vs. Igor Pokrajac (25-9). The third man inside the cage will be Yves Lavigne.

Round 1: Pokrajac throws out big rights, backing Jimmo up. The Canadian quickly clinches, landing knees to the body. Back to the clinch against the fence, and the ref quickly separates them once again. Jimmo tries to counter, but gets caught in a takedown attempt by Pokrajac. Exchange of haymakers leads to the clinch vs. the fence once again. Pokrajac catches Jimmo with a quick right, but he remains up and is firing back.

Round 2: Jimmo lands a quick right that wobbles Pokrajac. He continues to pressure, but Pokrajac appears to have found his bearings again, tying up Jimmo. It looked like Jimmo had a chance to finish, but couldn’t capitalize. Jimmo on top, controlling the action, but not really doing a whole lot of damage inside the guard. Pair of short elbows get through for Jimmo and land.

Round 3: Pokrajac clips Jimmo, who quickly clinches up against the fence. Jimmo doing some nice work on the ground, beating the body of Pokrajac. Jimmo has gotten himself stuck in a possible choke with 90 seconds left, as Pokrajac was able to lock his hands. However, he can’t keep it secured and Jimmo frees himself.
