At World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 3, their president Ray Sefo had two special announcements. Sefo said for their next event, WSOF 4, he will take on heavyweight Dave Huckaba and Nick Newell will debut.
The WSOF president mentioned at a press conference earlier in the week he would be fighting on an upcoming card. Sefo is 2-1 in MMA and performed better in kickboxing. The 42-year-old hasn’t fought in well over two years.
Newell gained attention for his 9-0 record with all but one of those ending in the opening round. He did that and took the XFC lightweight title without the presence of his left hand.
WSOF 4 is August 10 from the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. The main card airs on the NBC Sports Network.
