The injury bug has now reared its ugly head once again. The latest victim being Anthony Pettis and the main event of UFC 163.
UFC president Dana White broke the bad news via his Twitter account on Friday afternoon.
Pettis hurt his knee, Korean Zombie will now face Jose Aldo for the title on the Aug card in Rio Brazil.

Pettis also took to Twitter soon after to explain it was an injury to his meniscus.

This will certainly have ramifications on both the featherweight and lightweight divisions. Pettis was dropping down to 145 to face Aldo; he is currently the No.2-ranked lightweight in the UFC.
Chang Sung Jung aka “The Korean Zombie” is currently ranked No.4 in the 145 division and is getting a huge opportunity in facing Jose Aldo for the title. He was originally set to face Ricardo Lamas at UFC 162 next month, but that bout will now be scrapped.
UFC 163 will take place on August 3 at HSBC arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
No word on how the injury to Pettis’ knee occurred or how long the injury will keep him on the shelf.
