When the UFC holds an event in Canada, they know Sam Stout is always willing to compete in front of his home country for the rush it brings.
“I love fighting on all these Canadian cards,” said Stout on MMA Junkie. “I get on as many of them as possible. Anytime you come out, you can feel the difference in the atmosphere in Canada as opposed to anywhere else.”
He’s been on five UFC cards from Canada and left the victor three times. The last time Stout was in Canada, he took a decision loss to John Makdessi.
At UFC 161 Stout takes on James Krause, who is making his UFC debut and is on a seven fight win streak.
The lightweights are on the preliminary card, which airs on FX. The show comes out of the MTS Centre as the promotion debuts in Winnipeg.
