With a new relationship with his brother Joe Lauzon, Dan is ready to get back inside the cage for the first time in 18 months. When Dan does, Joe will be his corner at World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 3.
“It’s been rocky in the past but everything’s good now,” said Dan on Fightlinker. “He’s coming out with me for the fight and he’ll be cornering me and stuff. I’m looking forward to this I’m in good shape and ready to go. The last two fight I wasn’t as prepared as I wanted to be, but this fight it’s not the case.”
Several of Dan’s last few contests fell through when the other fighter would pullout or a show was cancelled.
Dan was released by the UFC after posting a 0-2 record in his second outing. He’s finished his last four via stoppage, with only one fight going into the second round. Dan meets John Gunderson, who is 34-14 and makes his first appearance of 2013.
The lightweights are set for WSOF 3 this Friday, June 14. It comes from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV and airs on the NBC Sports Network.
Joe returns at UFC on FS1 1 opposite Michael Johnson. That’s August 17 out of Boston, MA’s TD Garden.
