Brian Cobb has one fight under the World Series of Fighting (WSOF) banner and it went well. He took a split-decision over Ronys Torres on their debut show and thinks the promotion has a bright future.
“After the win, [WSOF president] Rey Sefo congratulated me personally,” said Cobb to MMA Weekly. “It’s great to have a promoter or matchmaker be upfront and direct and honest with you. I think they’re doing the right thing and I think they’re going in the right direction. They’re doing good thing by fighters and I’m happy to be with them.”
At WSOF 3 on June 14, Cobb returns against Justin Gaethje. Cobb will look to improve his 20-7 record.
Gaethje is undefeated with eight wins. He’s stopped seven with six by way of knockout.
They are on the main card of WSOF 3 from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The main card airs live on the NBC Sports Network.
