Dave Courchaine feels his March win over Bellator competitor Lloyd Woodward was what caught the eye of XFC officials. In his debut for promotion, which will be televised on AXS TV, Courchaine meets Luis Santos.
“I want to take it one fight at a time and not overlook anybody,” said Courchaine to MMA Weekly. “I’m not going to look two fights down the road because I’m focused on Luis. Yeah, I would love to fight for a title for them eventually, but that’s down the road.”
Courchaine is 15-5, taking his last eight since April 2012. All but one of those eights wins came by stoppage.
Santos has nearly 70 fights to his name since turning pro in 2000. He beat Shamar Bailey earlier in the year for XFC.
The welterweights are set for XFC 24 from the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, FL.
