Raphael Assuncao vs. Vaughan Lee
The prelim main event is up now, as Raphael Assuncao (18-4) puts his three-fight win streak on the line against Vaughan Lee (13-8-1). Mario Yamasaki will be the referee. Assuncao is ranked sixth in the latest UFC rankings.
Round 1: Assuncao quickly takes the center of the Octagon, throwing a right and a kick, looking to trap Lee and land a knockout blow. Glancing head kick from Assuncao. Single-leg takedown attempt by the Brazilian, as Lee fights it off. Assuncao comes back with an overhand left that connects. Lee coming on with his own offense, landing a straight jab and even throwing a spinning kick. Assuncao gets a takedown off a bodylock, as he caught Lee napping. Another big takedown from Assuncao, this time of the double-leg variety. All Assuncao, as he just beat on Lee for the final 30-plus seconds.

Round 2: Lee throwing some kicks to start the round, looking to keep Assuncao off balance. However, the Brazilian comes right back, throwing a flying knee. Lee connects, but Assuncao counters and locks his hands in an attempt at a double-leg takedown. Big cut over the left eye of Assuncao, as blood is pouring out of it and on his arm. Assuncao powers his way into mount off the takedown, transitions to an armlock, moves belly down for an armbar, rolls, separates the hands and gets the submission.
