Round 3: Hirota with a nice left to start, and Damm counters back with a right hook. Despite the lack of air conditioning in the arena, both fighters seem good to go after 10-plus minutes. Damm shoots for a single but is denied. This has been an all-striking match so far, and a good one at that. Hirota peppering the leg with his kicks, as Damm is not checking them. Huge overhand right from Damm misses, but he remains on the attack. Two minutes left, and Damm seems to be ignited by the Brazilian crowds intensity. Hirota comes in too high and Damm scores a takedown, following it up with a suplex and working to get his hooks in. Hirota gets out, and back to the feet we go. Great finish by Damm to likely secure the victory.
