Caio Magalhaes vs. Karlos Vemola

Round 1: Magalhaes with a quick takedown attempt, but Vemola scrambles and lands some nice punches before going for a single-leg of his own. Transition to a double-leg allows Magalhaes to lock in a hold of the neck, but Vemola powers out and slams him down to the ground. Some good ground-and-pound by Vemola, landing elbows to the head and body. Magalhaes grabs hold of his left arm and transitions to an armbar, but is unable to get it and is back in the punishment zone. Vemola teeing off with rights in half-guard, really doing a lot of damage. Magalhaes trying hard to secure a limb, but in unable to. Instead, he gets out and up to his feet with a minute left. Another attempt at a guillotine, but Vemola gets out and lands more rights. Good amount of damage on the face of the Brazilian. Magalhaes nearly scores the guillotine, but can’t and the round ends.

Round 2: Massive right hand by Magalhaes to start the round, but he quickly finds himself against the fence. Magalhaes gets underhooks in and wrestles Vemola to the mat, looking to put some damage on him now. Magalhaes to the back, and Vemola could be in trouble. Softening him up now and looking for a potential choke from either the side or back. Vemola gets out, but only for a brief second, and Magalhaes is back on top. Magalhaes works to the back and locks in a rear-naked choke, forcing Vemola to tap quickly. The wear and tear from the action and high temperatures resulted in a quick tap.
