Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira hears the word retirement floating around and isn’t ready to push MMA to the sides.
“I’m not quitting yet,” said Nogueira to USA TODAY Sports. “You guys always want to put me out of the game, but I’m hungry.”
Later today, Nogueira tests that statement when he takes on Fabrício Werdum. The two were opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil.
Nogueira competed once last year, submitting Dave Herman. The year prior saw Frank Mir break the arm of the former PRIDE champion with a kimura.
Werdum has two wins since returning to the UFC in 2012.
They headline UFC on FUEL TV 10. It comes from Brazil’s Ginásio Paulo Sarasate.
