Beginning with the upcoming 2013 Summer Series, Bellator can now be seen live in England. It will air on VIVA, which is run by Viacom. Bellator and their American cable channel provider Spike TV are also owned by Viacom.
“We are thrilled to finally bring the pure excitement of Bellator MMA to the legions of dedicated and knowledgeable mixed martial arts fans in the U.K.,” said Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney. “Our long awaited expansion into the U.K., one of the world’s MMA hot beds further illustrates our continued ascension in the MMA world.”
It’s the first time VIVA will air MMA. The channel is available in 26 million TV households.
Bellator recently signed England’s Martin Stapleton, Rob Sinclair and Paul Sass.
The first event is Bellator 96 on Wednesday, June 19.
