Cage Warriors has swooped in and bought out Ronnie Mann’s Bellator contract. The new deal is for five fights.
Bellator hasn’t commented, but a Cage Warriors official said they paid an extra $5,000 for his contract.
The contract last for up to 18 months and Mann debuts at Cage Warriors 57 with an opponent to be announced. That’s on July 20 from England’s Echo Arena.
“I’d like to thank Bellator for their cooperation in this deal,” said his manager Graham Boylan. “I don’t like to see fighters not active in the prime of their careers, and Bellator understood that, at his age, Ronnie needed to be busy.”
Mann is a 10 plus year veteran of the sport with several appearances in Bellator tournaments, though he was never able to win one. In March, he lost to Rodrigo Lima at Bellator 94 to make him 20-3 overall.
