The main event of UFC on FUEL TV 10 features two Brazilians, though one feels the crowd won’t be split. Fabricio Werdum believes Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is the fan favorite.
“The fans will be divided since we’re both Brazilian, though without a doubt, ‘Minotauro’ has many more fans in Brazil due to his storied career,” said Werdum to MMA Junkie. “He started well before me and had many excellent victories while representing Brazil.”
Nogueira does have more history in the sport, making a name in PRIDE before joining the UFC. He’s 5-3 since entering the Octagon in 2007.
Werdum is in his second stint for the UFC. Before coming back in 2012, Werdum was the first to hand Fedor Emelianenko a real loss out of Strikeforce.
The opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, headline the show. It’s from the Ginásio Paulo Sarasate this Saturday, June 8.
