Jason “Mayhem” Miller is accusing the UFC of lying when they offered to pay for his knee surgery. The retired fighter continues that his insurance for the UFC has expired since the promotion let the operation drag.
“They pretended they were going to give me the surgery, and they started acting like they were going to fix my leg,” said Miller on The MMA Hour. “I went back and they dragged it out until my insurance coverage expired. So now I can’t get my knee fixed.”
The surgery cost around $50,000 so Miller has decided to live with the pain. The injury came during his retirement bout with C.B. Dolloway at UFC 146 in May 2012.
Miller grabbed headlines upon his UFC release, after being arrested for allegedly breaking into a church naked. He avoided jail time.
