Miesha Tate has her hands full, recently learning she would coach opposite Ronda Rousey on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF). The surprise occurred when Cat Zingano had to be removed from the coaching gig due to a knee injury that could keep her away from competition for close to a year.
Another issue for Tate is that Kim Winslow has been announced as a referee for the show. It was at the Tate-Zingano fight earlier in the year when the tension started. Winslow stopped Tate’s fight in the third round against Zingano, which resulted in complaints from the former Strikeforce champion as she thought the call was made too early.
“I think she sucks as a referee,” said Tate on MMA Junkie Radio. “I heard she’s going to be refereeing this season and I think that sucks, too.”
Upon the conclusion of the upcoming season of TUF, it will be Rousey vs. Tate 2. The championship fight is expected towards the end of the year.
