Former WEC champion Mike Brown has signed on for his next fight, agreeing to face Akira Corassani at UFC on FS1 1. UFC officials announced the bout Friday evening.
The card takes place August 17 from the TD Garden in Boston. So far, several bouts have been confirmed, but there is still no main event.
Brown (26-8) has gone 2-3 in his Octagon career. The 37-year-old has won each of his last two after previously stating his desire to retire.
Instead, Brown signed a five-fight deal with the UFC last July, but has yet to compete on the new agreement.
Corassani (11-3-1) sports a 2-0 UFC mark. He asked for a fight with Conor McGregor in August, but appears to have accepted Brown instead.
