Soa Palelei was disappointed when he lost his planned fight next month vs. Stipe Miocic. The veteran, though, said he trusted the UFC to get him a fight.
Well, officials came through, as Fight News Australia is reporting that Palelei (18-3) will face Nikita Krylov at UFC 164 in August.
The card goes down from Milwaukee’s Bradley Center. No word yet on if the bout is set for the main card or prelims.
Krylov (14-0) will be making his UFC debut. Nine of his 14 wins have come via submission.
Palelei was expected to face Miocic at UFC 161: Evans vs. Henderson, but officials moved Roy Nelson into his place to bolster the main card.
