Rafael Sapo loved fighting in front of his home country of Brazil at UFC on FX 8. The decision win against Joao Zeferino made it even better, but the paycheck wasn’t great. Sapo’s issue was with the amount Brazil took out in taxes.
“The high tax takes from my purse, [the UFC] have to help,” said Sapo jokingly to TATAME.
The two opened the main card which was on May 18.
Sapo didn’t reveal what the Brazilian government took from his check. The middleweight is 4-2 for the UFC with a pair of wins this year.
