For the sixth time, UFC hall of famer Randy Couture is holding a poker ride that raises money for wounded soldiers and their families.
The Xtreme Couture GI Foundation was established to raise money and awareness for those wounded in action and their families.
“It’s an all-day event,” said Couture. “We go to five different stops and it’s about 20 to 30 miles between stops. It’s a little over a hundred miles.”
Couture served in the Army from 1982 to 1988 though did not see action.
The foundation has raised more than a half million dollars since forming six years ago.
“It’s pretty rewarding to be involved in,” said Couture. “You can’t meet one of these guys and the patriotism they exhibit and not be motivated and touched by that,” said Couture.
It takes place this Sunday, May 26, and starts from the Xtreme Couture Gym in Las Vegas, NV.
