Soa Palelei Disappointed In Losing Fight, Looking Forward To Future UFC Debut

Lost in the shuffle of finding Roy Nelson a fight for UFC 161 is Soa Palelei. The recently-signed fighter was expected to face Stipe Miocic.

Instead, Nelson will battle Miocic next month from Winnipeg, leaving Palelei without a fight. He is 18-3 in his career and previously fought for the UFC, falling to Eddie Sanchez at UFC 79.

“The injury (to Renan) Barao caused UFC 2make sum changes 2 UFC 161,” Palelei posted on Twitter. “Has left me w/o an opponent. Will be back soon! Good things come to those who wait.”

Palelei later added that “(UFC) look out 4their fighters and fans I respect their decision ‘The Hulk’ will be in Canada and (the) cage soon.”
