Championship Fighting Alliance (CFA) CEO Jorge De La Noval has been struck with attention thanks to Fallon Fox. While competing under CFA, Fox was revealed as the first public transgender fighter.
“We’re not basing this company on Fallon Fox,” said Noval to MMA Fighting. “We’re not making the investment based on one fighter. It just happens that we have her and that she has a lot of momentum going. It’s bringing a lot of attention, and everyone is going to try to enjoy that attention and exposure.”
Fox won in the opening round of their featherweight tournament. She required only 39 seconds, landing the knockout win. She meets Allana Jones in the semifinals.
The exposure of Fox has allowed CFA to host the show on AXS TV. The card is this Friday, May 24, and comes from the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, FL.
