James Head wasn’t born in Oklahoma, but he has turned it into his adopted home, as the UFC welterweight trains out of Oklahoma City.
Monday, a devastating tornado ran through Oklahoma, leaving the town of Moore in pieces. Schools and other buildings were demolished, and several people were injured and killed.
Now, as the recovery process begins, Head wants to do all that he can – and he’s asking that his fellow Octagon fighters lend a hand, as well.
“Hey UFC fighters, I would like to help coordinate some kind of relief (debris, clean-up, etc.) for the families affected by the tornado that devastated Moore, Ok.” Head posted on Twitter. “Any and all help will be greatly appreciated by the victims.”
Head is 9-3 in his MMA career, including a 2-2 UFC record. He had his most recent bout cancelled after Nick Catone was forced out with severe dehydration.
