Carlos Condit’s next fight will be critical when it pertains to his place in the welterweight division. He’s coming off back-to-back losses and the UFC already has plans for Condit’s return.
According to Condit’s manager, Malki Kawa, a potential fight has been offered but nothing is finalized. Kawa couldn’t say who the proposed opponent was.
“The UFC has been talking about a fight for Carlos Condit, but Carlos right now at this moment is looking to improve his wrestling,” said Kawa on Great Debate Radio. “He’s really concentrating on that a lot. I’ll have a conversation with Carlos this week and figure out if he wants to do something in August or September.”
Condit lost a welterweight championship unification contest to Georges St-Pierre and recently a decision to No. 1 contender Johny Hendricks.
Before Condit joined the UFC, he held welterweight gold in the WEC.
