MMA World Extends Sympathies To Oklahoma Tornado Victims

Oklahoma was devastated by a massive tornado Monday, as early reports have 37 people being killed in the damage. Some of the most incredible scenes were of schools being demolished and rescue workers helping to pull kids from the debris.

The MMA world took to Twitter to extend their heartfelt sympathies to the victims, and discuss the subject of “storm chasing.”

Pat Miletich, a former UFC champion and current MMA announcer, posted “I have chased storms as a hobby for 20 years and have never seen something this horrible.”

Another ex-UFC champion, Randy Couture, wrote “Heart and prayers go out to all the folks in Moore Oklahoma hit by the tornado!!!”

Jake Rosholt, who wrestled with his brother, Jared, at Oklahoma State University, posted “Great trials and tribulations are opportunities to band together in our faith in God and let him guide. Man my heart is so heavy right now thinking about the families and there children effected by the storm.”

Rosholt is a former UFC fighter who has gone 12-5 in his MMA career.

Ex-UFC lightweight king Frankie Edgar, who saw plenty of destruction last year when a hurricane powered through the East Coast, wrote on Twitter “Seeing the devastating footage of the tornado damage in Oklahoma was unreal. Thoughts and prayers out to all the people affected.”
