Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza wasted no time in making an impression in the UFC, choking Chris Camozzi out cold in the first round of their co-main event fight at UFC on FX: Belfort vs. Rockhold Saturday night.
In doing so, Souza was given the chance to make a call-out for his next fight, and did so, saying he wanted the winner of the main event fight between Vitor Belfort and Luke Rockhold.
Souza (18-3) earned his fourth straight victory since a 2011 loss to Luke Rockhold cost him the Strikeforce middleweight title. He has won 14 fights via submission, including three of the last four.
“I didn’t (have Octagon jitters) because of the crowd, the crowd is fantastic,” Souza said.
As for his next fight, and wanting either Belfort or Rockhold, he simply stated, “with the winner.”
