Xtreme Fighting Championship (XFC) president John Prisco has announced a new opponent for Scott Holtzman. He was supposed to fight Nick Newell for the lightweight title, before the one armed wrestler opted to not sign a contract with XFC. It’s now Holtzman against Josh Mahlow for the vacant gold.
“It’s my job to put the best fights out there and to treat my fighters fairly within my organization,” said Prisco.
Holtzman has been training for this shot since he won a title eliminator in February. Mahlow won his last XFC appearance, following 11 years in he sport.
They headlined XFC 24 from the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, FL. The main card airs on AXS TV on June 14.
