With three years until Tim Sylvia turns 40, the former UFC heavyweight champion knows returning inside the Octagon becomes less of a realization as each day passes.
“Ideally I would like to finish out my career where it started and that is in the UFC,” said Sylvia on Knockout Radio. “There’s great fights out there for me and I’d like to put on a great show for the fans on the biggest stage there is, and that’s obviously the UFC.”
Silva was granted his UFC release following a loss to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in 2008. After that, he quickly lost to heavyweight legend Fedor Emelianenko in 36 seconds for Affliction.
Since then Silva started to find success before a no contest to Andrei Arlovski and a loss to Satoshi Ishii.
