WMMA may still be something new in the UFC, but Julie Kedzie is familiar with the sport since she’s one of the veterans. At 16-11, Kedzie thinks a few UFC wins will land her in the title hunt.
“I’d say I’m three good victories away from it,” said Kedzie on The MMA Hour. “I’d like to challenge the winner of the [Liz] Carmouche-[Miesha] Tate fight and see how that plays. I think I’d match up well with Sara McMann as well. It’s a very interesting fight.”
Carmouche and Tate were defeated in their UFC debuts. McMann remains unbeaten following her UFC debut, where she finished Sheila Gaff in the opening round.
Kedzie fights Germaine de Randamie at UFC on FOX 8. Randamie will play the role of rookie with a 3-2 record that saw her compete for mostly Strikeforce.
They meet on July 27 from the KeyArena in Seattle, WA.
