Paul Daley is confident before December 31 hits, he will be back in Bellator. The welterweight has had visa issues since an alleged bar fight to close out last year.
“It will be this year,” said Daley to MMA Weekly. “September would be realistic, but definitely before the end of the year. Basically I just have to wait for some feedback from my solicitor with regards to the visa and then we’ll go from there.”
Once Daley does return to Bellator, he hopes to still meet War Machine. Several issues caused the promotion to scratch that fight for their Spike TV debut.
Since Daley currently can’t compete in the United States, Bellator has allowed him to fight in Europe. He looks for his second win this year against Rodrigo Ribeiro.
That happens at Dubai Fighting Championship 4 later today, May 10.
