Mark Hunt put a scare into members of the MMA social media community Thursday, as rumors started floating around that he was denied access to come to the U.S. due to a visa issue.
Hunt, who will face Junior dos Santos at UFC 160: Velasquez vs. Silva II later this month, cleared things up on Twitter, stating that the problems are a result of a run-in with the law several years ago.
“Denied again at airport. I’m never helping anymore (expletive) mates,” Hunt wrote. “Getting real tired of this (expletive). This is (what) happens (when) u have friends that are (expletive) the last (expletive) time I help these (expletive) trouble makers.”
Hunt, clearing up any rumors that he was arrested, stated that the incident happened in 2002. UFC officials are working to help get him to the U.S. and he is expected to still face dos Santos.
