Former Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo is 3-0 since entering the MMA fray earlier in the year. His upcoming fight is now in trouble due to record-keeping issues.
He is supposed to take on replacement Miguelito Marti after his initial opponent couldn’t make weight. Now Bill McFarlane, Cejudo’s manager, has found inaccuracies in Marti’s record and the May 18 Gladiator Challenge fight is in jeopardy.
“Marti’s record continues to evolve and that is not normal and should not be the case,” wrote McFarlane in an e-mail to ESPN.
McFarlane claimed he was told that the challenger was 3-2 but has found other results that show Marti as high as 7-2.
