As Strikeforce died a slow death, Virgil Zwicker was left wondering about his future. He now has some reassurance since signing a multi-fight deal with Bellator.
“The last couple of years it’s been inconsistent with Strikeforce and that whole deal with like two fights a year,” said Zwicker to Bleacher Report. “They’re going to give me an opportunity to fight four or five times this year.”
Zwicker was 1-1 for Strikeforce, last competing on their May 2012 card. He never received a call to appear on their final event back in January.
The light heavyweight looks to debut in the fall and wants to be placed in the tournament.
