While nothing is official, Rousimar Palhares is thinking about leaving the middleweight division for lighter competition.
“My desire to get down to 170 pounds is great, but I do not want to make a hasty decision,” said Palharesto to TATAME. “I will only really come down if my body’s response is positive.”
Palhares has been a middleweight his entire career, but does have time to make the change in weight seeing he’s still suspended. Following his second straight loss, he was popped for an elevated testosterone level in December.
The 14-5 middleweight was handed a nine month suspension as a result.
