Roy Nelson made a plea for a future UFC heavyweight championship match after finishing Cheick Kongo recently.
UFC president Dana White, however, stated after the match that “Big Country” could be in line to face either Daniel Cormier or Mark Hunt next instead. Nelson’s manager, Mike Kogan, told UFC Tonight Tuesday he didn’t think a fight with Cormier made sense for his client.
Well, it didn’t take Nelson long to clear the air, as the former Ultimate Fighter winner quickly took to Twitter immediately after the show.
“You should always come to the horse,” Nelson posted. “If I have to go through DC to get my belt I will.”
