Matt Brown feels he’s always given the title of underdog when he enters the Octagon. Judging by Brown’s recent string of wins, underdog might not be the correct word to use anymore.
“A lot of people put me as the underdog in fights and that just motivates me,” said Brown to Bloody Elbow. “You’re going in there with a chip on your shoulder and you’ve got something to prove. It’s another one of those things that I try not to get caught up in and think about too much.”
Following a shaky 2010 where Brown lost three submission fights in a row, he’s quickly recovered. He has five wins since February of last year. Four of those he finished in the second round and took Fight of the Night for beating Jordan Mein at UFC on FOX 7. Their bout was on the main card on April 20.
Brown’s next fight isn’t known.
