Tyrone Spong wasn’t sure if visa issues would cause him to miss World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 3, but now the kickboxer has a clearer picture and has removed himself from the card.
He was to meet veteran Angel DeAnda in the co-main event. Spong is expected for the August card with DeAnda’s status not known.
At WSOF 1, Spong made quick work of Travis Bartlett in the opening round. Outside of that one MMA win, he’s 69-6-1 when it pertains to kickboxing.
WSOF 3 is June 14 out of Las Vegas, NV. It’s headlined with Jon Fitch vs. Josh Burkman, with the entire main card airing on the NBC Sports Network.
On June 22, Spong is scheduled for the GLORY event in New York City.
