The mother of Phil Davis’ baby had claimed the light heavyweight choked her during intercourse and has been abusive. It’s lead to Vantris Patterson filing documents in court.
UFC president Dana White didn’t know where these claims were coming from and stands by the NCAA wrestling star.
“We’ve never had problems with this guy ever,” said White to TMZ. “He’s one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met.”
Davis has not commented on the matter.
Later today, Davis competes on the main card of UFC 159 out of Newark, NJ. He takes on The Ultimate Fighter 8 runner-up Vinny Magalhaes after a long verbal feud.
UFC 159 comes from the Prudential Center with the pay-per-view starting at 10 p.m. ET.
