Vinny Magalhaes will be on the lookout for any lose limbs of Phil Davis. If Magalhaes can grab one, he’s going to make Davis feel the pain.
“If I get a chance, I’m going to pop his arm,” said Magalhaes on The MMA Hour. “I did that against Igor [Pokrajac]. I tapped him out and then just kept holding. It’s not going to be any different against Phil. I’m going to hurt him. I’m not saying break it. I’m saying make him feel it for a week.”
It seems as if Magalhaes and Davis have been trading jabs via social media for the last year now. The light heavyweights will look to settle their dislike inside the Octagon.
Magalhaes submitted Pokrajac with an armbar in his UFC return in September. He was released originally, after going 0-2. He spent time in M-1 prior to his return.
Rashad Evans ended Davis’ hope of securing a title shot. He rebounded by making Wagner Prado tap out.
They’re on the main card of UFC 159 this Saturday. It’s from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. FightLine will be there with the play-by-play and news to follow.
