Hours before Invicta FC 5, Bec Hyatt almost got into a pre-fight altercation in the hotel lobby with transgender fighter Fallon Fox. According to Hyatt, she was using the phone and noticed Fox with another female giving her long looks so she approached them.
Below is an excerpt of Hyatt’s Facebook post about the alleged April 5 incident.
“Fallon replied with “I’ll do what I want”, to which I laughed, said she is a joke & went back to my Facebook training in preparation of the nights contest. I can’t remember exactly what Fallon then said, but it was along the lines of “I’m coming down there” in an angrier tone & as she went to put on her jacket, Invicta Fighting Championships matchmaker Janet Martin came out of an elevator & started talking to me. When I looked back up, Fallon & her friend were gone.”
Hyatt says the second half of their conversation was caught on tape, but she wouldn’t release it. She later said that Fox apologized at the after party. Fox hasn’t acknowledged any meeting.
At Invicta 6 on July 13, Hyatt takes on Mizuki Inoue from the American Casino Hotel in Kansas City, MO. Fox has never competed for the promotion.
Fox returns at CFA 11 from the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, FL. It’s May 24 and she meets Allanna Jones in the semifinals to crown an inaugural women’s champion.
