Cezar Ferreira, a former competitor on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, has switched teams and joined up with the Blackzilians in Florida.
Ferreira, who was on TUF: Brazil with Vitor Belfort, will now train with his former coach. The two also worked together in Brazil when Belfort brought him in at 17 years old.
“Today I am proud to announce that I am now a Blackzilian, right along with my good friend Vitor Belfort, who introduced me to Glenn Robinson and this amazing team of fighters,” said Cezar Ferreira via press release. “My next fight on August 3, I will be fighting as a Blackzilian. I will have the best coaching team in MMA in my corner and I am going to win this fight for my team, my country and my family.”
Ferreira (5-2) was expected to return to action next month, but a knee injured knocked him out. He was also injured before the finals of TUF: Brazil and replaced. In the release, he states his return for UFC 163: Aldo vs. Pettis, which takes place from Brazil.
