Myles Jury Knockout Punch Felt Like Any Other

Myles Jury has a few knockouts to his name. At UFC on FOX 7, he connected with a massive punch to the face of Ramsey Nijem in the second round which put all his previous ones to shame. The punch, which was replayed several times over, felt like any other to the lightweight.

“It was just technique,” said Jury to MMA Fighting. “Just like hitting the pads. It felt like just another punch.”

With that win, Jury is 3-0 for the UFC with two stoppages. He’s undefeated at 12 wins as the first 10 never escaped the opening round.

It was Nijem’s second UFC loss. He had taken three straight wins since losing in the finals of The Ultimate Fighter 13.

Jury isn’t certain what’s next as he takes a short vacation following a grueling camp. He will speak with his manager and the UFC to see what’s next.

The two were on the preliminary card which came from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA. Their fight was April 20 and aired on FX.
