Hugo Viana has two UFC fights under his name and is looking to land a spot in the Top 10 of the bantamweight division. If Viana can take care of T.J. Dillashaw, maybe he lands in that position.
“Honestly, I see this fight as further preparation,” said Viana to TATAME. “Beating him, I think I’ll be in the Top 10 of the division. For now, this is my goal.”
In 16 months, Viana went 5-0 as he entered the UFC. He took a decision over John Teixeira and knocked out Reuben Duran in the first round. The win over Reuben was his bantamweight debut.
Since Dillashaw failed to win The Ultimate Fighter 14, he’s taken three. Recently, he stopped Vaughan Lee and Issei Tamura within two rounds.
They are a go for the FX portion of the preliminary card for UFC on FOX 7. It’s later today from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA.
